Republican Endorsed Candidates Succeed in Winning All of Their Pennsylvania Primary Races

PHILADELPHIA– Last night the entire slate of Republican Party endorsed candidates running for contested seats won their primary races including: Congressman Lou Barletta who will challenge Senator Bob Casey for his U.S. Senate seat; State Senator Scott Wagner, who will challenge Governor Tom Wolf for the Governor’s office and Jeff Bartos who will challenge John Fetterman for the Lt. Governor’s office.

 “I would like to congratulate all of the endorsed candidates who won last night, especially those who faced highly contested races. The fact that all of the statewide and national candidates who received party endorsements won their races is a testament to what can be accomplished when we respect the democratic process and also the power of teamwork to accomplish broader party goals,” said Michael Meehan, Chairman, Republican Party of Philadelphia.
